At the 12th Session of the ICG/IOTWMS held in Kish Island, the Intergovernmental Coordination Group (ICG) for the Indian Ocean Tsunami Warning and Mitigation System (IOTWMS) decided to conduct a “Palu and Sunda Strait Tsunami Lessons Learnt Symposium” in 2019 and also to hold inter-sessional activities of the Working Groups, Task Teams and Steering Group as Integrated Meetings to optimise resources. The Palu and Sunda Straight Symposium and ICG/IOTWMS intersessional meetings will be held back-to-back at the Agency for Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) in Jakarta, Indonesia during 26 September to 02 October 2019.
