Our Officers
The Bureau of the Sub-Commission consists of leadership roles designated to ensure effective governance and functioning of the Sub-Commission and provides strategic leadership and ensures that the Sub-Commission functions efficiently.
It facilitates coordination among members, ensures smooth operations, and supports the Sub-Commission in fulfilling its mandate as part of the broader framework of the Commission.
Composition of the Bureau:
- The Bureau is made up of the Chair and three Vice-Chairs, forming the executive leadership of the Sub-Commission.
- These positions are filled through elections conducted within the Sub-Commission. The members of the Sub-Commission cast votes to select individuals for these roles.
Governance Framework:
- The operations of the Bureau adhere to the Guidelines for the Structure and Responsibilities of the Subsidiary Bodies of the Commission.
- These guidelines outline the procedures, terms of reference, and expectations for the Bureau members.
- They ensure consistency in leadership roles, define the scope of authority, and establish mechanisms for accountability.
IOC Africa Electoral Groups
The Sub Commission created three electoral groups for the purpose of election of Vice Chairs for the Sub-Commission as follows:
