2022 UN Ocean Conference - Call for new Ocean Voluntary Commitments

In the lead up to the 2022 UN Ocean Conference<https://www.un.org/en/conferences/ocean2022>, which will take place from 27 June to 1 July in Lisbon, Portugal, Governments, UN system entities and all other stakeholders are invited to scale up ocean action and register new voluntary commitments<https://sdgs.un.org/partnerships/action-networks/ocean-commitments> to support the implementation of SDG 14.

The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs has created an online searchable database<https://sdgs.un.org/partnerships/action-networks/ocean-commitments> to collect and shine the spotlight on ocean voluntary commitments. More than 1,600 initiatives covering all targets of SDG 14 have been registered since the 2017 UN Ocean Conference by a range of different actors.

Now it is time to further scale up ambition to protect the ocean.
