Please find bellow the information sent by me on behalf of Women in Maritime in Africa  (WIMAFRICA)  Organization as WIMAFRICA Regional Coordinator of the Blue Economy Committee (BEC) to plane and organize activities on Celebrations of the World Oceans Day (8 June 2016) and of the African Oceans Day (25 July 2016) at local, national and regional levels.

For tomorrow (8 June) at national level we will disseminate through  the social media the  information on ocean day celebrations  and the importance of the oceans.

Please feel  free for comments and assistance. You are free to announce this initiative to IOC.

In relation to the above matter  please find in  attach the Circular  Letter  from the WIMAFRICA. Regional Blue  Economy Committee (BEC).

We suggest it  to  be submitted to the  relevant  entities / communities with a proposal of the national or local Programme  for the celebrations of the above referred days (to be prepared by each WIMA accordingly to the  local conditions).
