<em><span style="font-family:"Century Gothic","sans-serif"">For Women in Science</span></em> program has expanded each year. To date, the L’Oréal-UNESCO partnership has distinguished 92 eminent women at the height of their scientific careers and supported 2438
promising young women scientists through doctoral and postdoctoral Fellowships. Today, over 2530 women have been recognized in more than 112 countries.<br>
<br>
In 2009, two of the 2008 L’Oréal-UNESCO Awards Laureates received a Nobel Prize in their field of expertise: Elizabeth Blackburn in Medicine and Ada Yonath in Chemistry.<br>
